Miss Ellen is a retired middle school educator who now shares her passion for learning by assisting groups visiting the Francis Malcolm Science Center (FMSC). With years of classroom experience, she enjoys helping students explore new ideas in a hands-on environment. Her role at the Science Center allows her to guide visiting groups, answer questions, and make each program both educational and fun.
One of her favorite parts of volunteering is meeting teachers who value the many benefits of outdoor education. She also loves spending time with excited students who arrive ready to learn about science, nature, and the universe.
By blending a lifelong dedication to education with a love of the outdoors, Ellen plays an important role in supporting FMSC’s mission to inspire curiosity and discovery in learners of all ages.
