Miss Elaine is our talented program coordinator and a valued member of our team. She is a retired middle school educator who devoted her career to inspiring young minds through science and learning. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to education, she was honored as the 2001 Maine Teacher of the Year.

Her background in teaching gives her a unique ability to connect with audiences of all ages. Whether guiding visitors through a planetarium show or helping students explore new ideas, Elainebrings patience, enthusiasm, and a love for discovery to everything she does.

Beyond the classroom and coordinating programs, Elaine is also an outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys exploring nature, hiking, and finding new ways to connect science with the natural world. This passion for the outdoors enriches her work, as she helps visitors see the link between Earth and the wider universe.
