Miss Mary Jo is our dedicated projectionist in the Planetarium and a valued member of our team. She is a retired middle school special education teacher who spent her career helping students discover their strengths and reach their goals. In addition to her classroom work, she also served as an Adult Basic Education Coordinator, where she guided lifelong learners on their educational journeys.

Her background in teaching gives her a natural ability to connect with people of all ages. In the Planetarium, she uses those skills to ensure every show runs smoothly and is enjoyable for visitors. Her patience, attention to detail, and enthusiasm make each program both educational and engaging.

Outside of her work in education and the Planetarium, Mary Jo is also an avid crafter. She enjoys working with her hands, creating projects that reflect her creativity and love for learning new skills.
